Lynsey Scott, LCSW
Psychotherapist • Somatic Practitioner • Internal Family Systems-Informed
Hi, I’m Lynsey—a licensed clinical social worker and trauma-responsive therapist with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals through deep emotional healing and personal growth.
My work is grounded in a mind-body approach that draws from somatic practices and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I specialize in helping clients navigate the complex interplay between emotional and mental health and their deeper sense of self—what some might describe as a spiritual connection or inner truth.
I offer one-on-one psychotherapy for individuals who are looking to explore longstanding patterns, recover from trauma, or move through life transitions with more clarity and compassion. My style is warm, intuitive, and grounded in both clinical training and embodied presence. Many of the people I work with are seeking something more than symptom relief—they want to feel more fully themselves, more connected, and more at peace.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those healing from PTSD, substance use, justice system involvement, and complex trauma. I believe in the inherent resilience of the human spirit and in each person’s capacity to reconnect with their own inner guidance and strength.
My own healing journey deeply informs my work. Having moved through challenges related to intergenerational mental health issues, codependency, and recovery, I understand firsthand how difficult—and how transformative—this path can be.
Whether you’re looking to process trauma, reconnect with your body, or cultivate a more integrated and meaningful life, I’m here to support you.
I currently reside in the Sierra Nevada mountains in Northern California in a small cabin town called Arnold.
I’ve lived and practiced primarily in the East Bay Area in Oakland, Dublin, Fremont, Berkeley, and Alameda.
I also practiced briefly in the greater Chicagoland area.
